Taoism is associated with China, Shinto is in Japan. Interesting question. However, for this assignment you will need to look at the interaction between countries in at least 2 cultural regions. Perhaps you could examine the process by which Buddhism diffused into China and the implications for indigenous practices (such as Taoism).
Good question, but you should talk about japan and another region. On the overview it says to choose at least two regions we've discussed in class.
