Maybe you would want to specify what the host countries were in your question so that there is no confusion as to which countries are included.
Maybe pick one century to make it more narrowed down!
In order to make the historical question more specific, identify the region(sub-Saharan Afica)/countries that played host to Burundian refugees and explain why the Burundian refugees were seeking asylum.
I would narrow down your range of time being expolored.
